94 spi will not run

i am newbe to this forum hope you can help '94 spi havent went thru 3 gal of oil yet de-winterized in spring ran ok,ran a couple of times first of july tried to start this wekend wouldnt run,full gas tank,batt.up,it would start and run on lift if i pour some gas in air box then stop when little gas ran out would run strong when gas present,have a ,92 clymers manual but that was ok winterization but not good for this any help or ideas to look for thanks

Sounds like you have a fuel delivery problem. Check your on off switch to make sure its on (not to sound like a smartass). If its on I would probably start looking towards the carb. Pull them off and go through them. You could have bad gas but ive also seen the on/off valves on those stick. you can try and pull the fuel line that goes from the pump to the bottom of the valve and put it into a seperate gas tank (kind of like running an I.V.) and see if it runs like that. If so you know you have a problem with the valve. Hope this helps!

start problem

thanks for the info. wont be back to it for a couple of weeks does this model have a external fuel pump and if so where i can follow line too.thanks for your advice and if i can follow this i will let you no and too its almost time to winterize thanks a lot
