93 sp starting problems

ok so hi . . . lol i have now had my 1st pwc for 2 days. if i put on the lanyard and hit the starting button sometimes it will make a clicking sound sometimes no clicks and if u hit the button enough it will start pulled the starter had it tested its good so i am thinking relay . . . not the click i am refering to above is the relay and the starter sound like it tries to engage but loses power or some thing tested the battery its good . . .o ps i work on alot of cars but never a boat or a seadoo so little lost lol o and it starts everytime if u jump the relay . . . so is it my button or the relay any guesses please help thanks alex:bigear:

Battery

The first thing I would do is check the battery. Just because the battery reads 12v.+ doesn't mean its good, it may not have enough current to start the ski. Take the battery out and take it to an auto parts store and have it tested under load. Or you can jump your ski from another vehicle, make sure the donor vehicle is NOT running when you jump it to your ski.

If you are sure the battery is good check the solenoid by jumping the two terminals with an old screw driver.

ok so battery good according to autozone and its starts everytime if i jump the terminals so button or solenoid

ok thanks lou one other question where i am located all i can find is the quick silver premium red lable and i run premix is that ok to run the qs or not i have tried to read all other threads about it but i am so confused i aint looking for speed just longetivity i am going out 2mw so if any comments now would be the time pls lol

Sorry, I don't know, I have never run premix. I use the QS PWC 2 stroke, synthetic blend and get it a Walmart, it is in a silver container with a purple label. It's also available at the Mercury dealer here.

Maybe someone else can answer your question about premix.
