90 seadoo gt doesnt want to start

hey i picked one of these gt's up a while back.i am having problems it will run in the driveway all day with a hose hooked up and it will run and perform fine as soon as i launch it but as soon as i bring it back in for a break or what ever it does not want to start back up it will after about 15-20 minutes of cranking it over with the throttle wide open but that is killing my battery and making my starter and electrics get hot.it does have a slow leak around the driveshaft letting in a small amount of water but i do not think that is the problem.i have clened the gas tank and fuel filter but have not pulled the carb off.
