90 seadoo engine hot?

i have a 1990 seadoo si and my engine gets pretty hot after riding it, is this normal? cause i thought since its water cooled it stay cool?> sorry very new......

hot is a relative term.

How hot? Will it sizzle water if you splash a little on it? will it blister your skin if you touch it?

It's an engine... so it will get hot... but after a hard run... you should be able to touch it for several seconds without burning yourself.

no it wont sizzle water or burn my skin..and i can put my hand on it for many seonds and it wont hurt or anything it seems about as hot as a cup of coffee i guess...im just kinda clueless when it comes to this stuff, and it was worrying me so i thought id ask..
