Hi, I need to know, for a newly rebuilt carb, what are the
best settings to start with, for the Pilot and Main jet screws under the check valve housing? I have both screwed down snug. Thanks for the advice.

Settings?

Linda, your high speed screw is set at "0" and your low speed screw is set at 1 and 1/4 turns out. Plus or minus a quarter turn either way. On your high speed screw, there should be a plastic cap that will only allow you to adjust it as much as a quarter turn. Do not remove the plastic cap.

Pilot and Main screw adjustments

Hi, I was asking about the brass-like large main and
small pilot screws inside the carb, below the check valve housing, next to the needle and seat.
I have both screwed down all the way in. Is there a
basic start position for these jets?
Thanks in advance.

Jets?

Linda, if your talking about the "jets" themselves, which are made of brass with a little hole in the middle, then those are snugged down tightly.

1997 carb jets basic start setting

Hi Seadoosnipe,
Yes, that is what I was asking about. So they are the jets,
I'll be. A venturi type jet then? I am ok, they are snugged
down. Thanks for your great help. All of this free advise
must me worth an arm and a leg. I do appreciate it.
