720 cylinders on a 657x motor, will it work?

Hey guys,

So I got a good top end on a 720 ( going in a 95 xp ) but the bottom end is sticking at top dead center. I have a good 657x lower end, both are 4 wire stator. So my question is, will the cylinder & pistons bolt up and work?

Don't know, have a look the the manual for the specs for bore and stroke of each engine. Thinking the 650 has less stroke but not sure.

Quick look says the 650x has 64mm stroke, 76mm bore while the 717 has 68mm stroke and 82mm bore.

Possibly the cylinders wouldn't fit the case and you would loose a tone of power and compression because of the differences in stroke.

Will not fit ,only two of the four bolts that hold down the cylinder line up
