Is there filters or or anything that needs changed? I change the plugs every couple trips....Is there anything else that should be done?

I could check the manual and let you know if no one chimes in for you.

I Just got a 99 from PO not running and have:
Rebuilt carbs, adjusted needles to factory and adjust throttle cables.
Changed plugs
Drained gas and cleaned FF along back of seat.
Cleaned engine bay.
Greasing and oiling lines.
All could be considered maintenance.
Are you on premix or injected?

Doing sea trial tomorrow

There is a fuel filter in the system, and in each of the carbs. There is also an oil filter in the hose going to the engine.

Those are normally a yearly maintenance item. (when you pull it out from being stored over the winter)

There really isn't any weekly/monthly maintenance. Just make sure there is oil in the tank, and keep it clean.
