Super new to this engine. After removing the intake assembly the piece of sheet metal that spins on a splined shaft ( I belive called the rotary valve), that allows air fuel mixture in to the cylinders. It was torn about half way around from one side and the block face and cover that this sheet metal spins between had gouges in them.
Here's the story...... I was running for about two or three minutes full out and the right engine just stopped. Turned over, but would not run. I took the cover off and this is what I found. Full tank off sea doo oil in the oil tank.
What happened here and I need direction now.

If it destroyed the case... you will need to send the cases out to be welded up, and re-machined.

BUT... you need to find why the rotary valve gave up. They aren't known to just die. Most likely a bolt from the air-box fell into the engine, and it's still in there.

FYI... I have a complete used running 720 engine in the classifieds.

So you don't think it was anything oil related? Oh yeah I gotta know, whats with the name "Dr. Honda" . If you changed it to something to do with sea doo it could be "Dr. Doo"...... Just a thought.

If it was oil related, you would just have wear scars. If there is physical damage, then it was mechanical.

Dr Honda is an old name... and I've been using it for about 10 years. It follows me to every chat board I'm on .
