717 mpem electrical work with a 657X motor?

I know someone locally thats selling an mpem / electrical box (non-dess) that came off a 717. I'd like to know if this would work on a 657X motor? ...Thanks in advance

It should work since it is a non-dess one with and non-dess one. The years of mpems have to be very close if all the wires match up and the stator wires are the same numbers why not if you have one.

94 657X models have the 5 wire stator and the 717's use a 4 wire. If the 657X is out of a 95 then it will plug right in otherwise the stator and flywheel from the 717 would have to be used.

thanks guys, i found that stater is a 4 wire and it cranks at the button!.. next move is to install the hoses and feed it fuel and make it sing for me
