I didn't want to start a new thread on this topic, but didn't get a response on another thread.. So here goes:

Wondering what the requirements are on doing a 2nd oil change after winterization period?

I performed the oil change before the winter, and I know some suggest doing another change before the season starts since the oil has been sitting. But is this really necessary ? The SeaDoo was stored, covered in a garage since November. 2008 GTX 4tec, 155

In speaking to the mechanic, he said 'don't bother', but I know if I spoke to the sales desk they would say "oh, you definitely should .."

Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks!

you don't need to change the oil again. oil mainly gets broken down from use but it is true that oil breaks down over time from just sitting but nothing in comparison to it being used. some people change the oil in the spring and not in the fall just for this reason, but you definitely don't need to do it twice.
