I'm confused. I was in the 05 4tec shop manual vol.3 looking at fault code table(pg.87). Code P0118 is a temp sensor code. The table says you will have a warning lite flashing, info center will display CK ENGINE. What I don't understand is in the "LIMP MODE" column is a "N". I have to assume the "N" stands for "NO" meaning the engine would not go into a limp mode.
Am I reading this right? Is the manual correct? Seems to me that any overheat situation would cause a limp mode activation.
Thanks, Dawg

Manual?

I'll have to assume the manual is correct.......I have to!...I wouldn't have anything else to go by...:ack:
The "N" seems to me too, that it would mean just what you said. But I did read further into the manual on the "Limp Mode"....
There are 5 sensors that will activate the limp mode. The cooling temp sensor, exhaust gas sensor, oil pressure, oil seperator pressure and the tip over protection system sensor.........
In the "P" codes, it seems there are a couple codes that will allow no more than 5000 rpm and some that will clear when the fault clears.
I wish I could ride one!.......I bet it'd blow my shorts off. These supercharged hot rods gotta be a blast to ride!
