4 Tec Oil?

I recently bought a 2003 GTX 4 wake edition. I was wondering what kind of oil do you use in your 4 TECS. The nearest Seadoo dealer is an hour from my home. I use Amsoil in everything that I own and I was wondering if anyone else uses or knows about synthetics in the Seadoo's.

Any four stroke oil will do as long at it meets the specifications outlined in your owners manual. The only thing to watch out for is using synthetic oil in supercharged models...but you don't need to worry about this. The only thing I would reccommend is choosing one oil and sticking with it.

This may sound like a dumb question, how much oil does the 4 Tec usually take. The owners manual says 2.7 qts w/filter...4 qts total. Which is it?

I always thought it was 3 L or 2.7 US quarts. I am pretty sure that is correct....gonna check my manual just to make sure.

Yup it is definately 3L or 2.7 quarts for an oil change.
