This has got to be expensive. Three nasty things going on with 94 SPX all no doubt related. Not a tech guy at all, but here goes.
1) Engine starts up fine and then revs up with increased throttle as it should however momentum of Doo doesn't change at all past a slow forward speed. It just chugs along. The engine itself seems happy but the propulsion system is not.
2) One of the larger black hoses with clamps that is located in the middle of the SeaDoo actually burned through with some other harder black plastic shroud around the drive shaft fracturing. Now I am seeing a portion of naked drive shaft.
3) Significant water entering through the center of the Doo (the rear plug is in and locked down so it is not the obvious). Hull is not cracked anywhere and water seems to be entering from impeller intake.
Trying to decide whether to take it to mechanic to even check out or whether it sounds so expensive that it is likely not worth considering a repair with these symptoms on a sixteen year old machine. I don't have huge money in it so if it is going going and gone it won't be heart breaking.
