I just added a quart of 4 stroke Seadoo BRP synthetic oil in my 2001 seadoo RXDI and only after realized that it was 4 stroke oil. What should I do. I faintly remember last year at the lake a seadoo dealer sold me 4 stroke oil and assured me it was what I needed for my seadoo but really do not want to make a mistake a major problem. Will i be okay or do I need to figure something else out. Thanks

Do not run it! Drain out all of your oil and replace it with the proper oil.

What is the easiest way to drain the oil. Sorry I am new to this. If I siphon it out would that be good enough since I have not started it yet?

you need to locate/follow ALL the oil lines to the case, and disconnect there, and drain entire bottle and oil lines...

Is the case referring to the oil pan or the engine block? Sorry for all the questions and thanks for all the help. Is there supposed to be some place that is generally intended to drain the oil?

Would pulling the white fill tube and pumping it out work just as well. I am worried about pulling the tank as I do not want to mess anything else up and have little to no knowledge about working on waverunners.

My guess is that if you siphon most of the oil out and replace it with the correct oil you will be fine, but that is just my guess. To get all of the oil out you can open the bleed screw on the injection pump but it will make a big mess in the hull.

If you run any 4 stroke oil in your 2 stroke you will be looking for trouble...just dump it and start fresh. Just take your time and do it right the first time.

Remove it all!

As you disconnect lines you could use a shop vac to suck out as much oil as possible. Don't worry about making a mess in the hull, that is easier to remedy than having to rebuild a motor!

Thahks everyone for all your help. This forum has been a lifesaver! I pulled all but a small amout maybe half a cup in the bottom of the tank and there is a small amount of oil in the lines. Do you think this is enough as I put in a quart of 4 stroke and have pulled a little over a gallon out?
