Hi. I bought a 2003 gtx 155 with 350 hours 2 months ago. Fixed the fuel pump from being clogged by bad gas from sitting in a garage for 4 years, and it runs flawless. Just curious what wear items normally get replaced soon? Ski is in mint shape, runs 60 mph, great compression. Just assuming wear ring or carbon ring work is normal by now-or what should i start looking for. Thx

Check the pump for water by removing the nose cone. If there's water in there, you need to figure out why (probably bad seals). Obviously the spark plugs need to go and the oil changed right away. Also check for water in the bottom of the hull while riding - that could indicate a worn carbon seal. Good luck!

Hey Sparky, do you have an owners or service manual? If you don't have any maintenance records I'd zero everything out. That means:

Pulling the jet pump and performing the recommended 100 hr service. (Clean, inspect bearing, wear ring, and impeller, replace all O-rings, and jet pump seal, regrease, and pressure check; you'll need some special tools; find them on Ebay.)
Oil & Filter Change
Coolant change
Fuel Pump pressure check
Spark plug change

Install the RIVA O.P.A.S block off kit and get rid of those vanes & linkage!
