I can't find a part number for the 6mm square nut for the battery box on the 2009 RXP. Basically 3/8" thick and 3/4" square with a 6mm thread nut. The nut started turning of course whoever was working on it did nothing to fix it but I'm gonna make it right. I did many searches trying to find something but "no joy." I'm down to machining my own. :) LOL The battery box is a pretty slick rig I just want to up to snuff. Help is appreciated.

Well since I couldn't find a square nut part number or any plastic square nuts at all I just took a piece of round plastic and but is slightly less than 1/2" thick and 3/4" square. Then I put it in the slot and drilled a hole to match the hole coming through the battery holder bracket. Then I inserted a HELICOIL. VIOLA !! Ski is now returned/restored to proper working condition. That's why it takes so long to get these old skis up to speed and complete but the result is worth the effort.

Any one could cut a piece of plastic with a hacksaw and achieve the same basic results but.... I am a machinist and I have a lathe so it was pretty easy for me to machine and cut the round plastic to (.470") thick. Then I just cut the square with the hacksaw, filed the coarse ends. Sorry no pictures.
