i checked all my coils and they all check out to be good # 2 cylinder wont fire my boat only goes 50-52 . i changed plugs and it still dosnt fire#2 i pulled harness and continuity tested each of the wires and they are all ok i have moved coils around and none will fire on # 2 i think it has before im not sure. the ignition modual is new i tryed switching to my od one which i replaced and still no spark. the 4 wire colors are green white ,white black ,black yellow and black on the driver side of my boat there is a green white and a brown wire not pluged in they are male plugs just hanging? the boat is a 2000 speedster any ideas the green and white wire runs to a connector with a white green that go under the fly wheel??

Sorry no one got you you yet on this....

OK... I've spent the morning looking over the manual, and wiring diagrams... and if you only have a miss-fire on the #2 coil... and it's known to be good... and the physical wiring is good... and it has a good ground... then all that leaves is the "Control Module."

Basically.....

1) if there was a bad diode in a coil pack... there wouldn't be fire on 1, 2, or 3.

2) If it was a back pick-up coil (or bad pick-up wiring)... you would also have a miss fire on #4.

so i checked it over again it was a wire the white and black wire which i think is the signal wire for the coil has a 3 way joint and thats where is was not working boat is way faster now! big difference!!
