Are they the same block and what is the difference between 2005 and 2006 engines need to order a new or remain

supercharger, intercooler, ECU, injectors, etc. lots of differences between 215 and 255 but they are basically the same block on the 2007 and newer. The 255 wasn't available until 2008, several differences between 05 and 06 blocks as well, interchangeable but you need to know what you are doing to make the necessary modifications.

Thanks. I was told my 05 gtx was upgraded to a 255 and unfortunately it’s locked up so I’m trying to order a new engine from SBT but I don’t want to order the wrong engine. I do know my turbo was rebuilt however there is definitely no intercooler I’m seeing so I’ll have to investigate a little more
