i'm looking to install a bailer on my seadoo. what are my options. i'm not to interested in installing a pump, which I know is the best method. is there such thing as a check valve in drain plugs that I can install so water will run out but not run back in?

if my ski has bailers then they do not work.. last summer my seadoo felt like a pig so I opened the seat and there was about 8-9 inches of water in her. I only owned her about a week before I put her up for the winter I haven't had time to look around inside yet to see how everything works. I did some reading on the self bailer system and maybe the hose came unhooked and dropped down or something. I will have a look when I get home in about 3 weeks

Bilge pumps are really for emergency situations, not for routine bailing. If you're seeing water build up, you need to fix the problem first. In a 10 year old ski, however, it is a good idea to install one as you're bound to rely on one at some point. The main things to constantly check are your hoses and CLAMPS, carbon ring condition and seal effectiveness, and jet pump condition. Good luck.

the water got there because I was playing around one day and I was pretty much in underwater with pretty much just the handle bars sticking out lol so I guess seals leaking around the seat.
