I have a 2014 GTR215 that I have had for two years. Worked great. Getting it ready for summer went to start it and it recognized they keys. I press the start and it would click two or three times, beep also if I remember then the display would go blank.

Checked the voltage and was 13.2volts. So battery was good.

I figured something might be hung up so I disconnected the battery for about 1 minute. Plugged it back in and now it won't recognize the keys. And obviously not start.

What am I missing?

It was serviced by the dealer just before I put it away for the winter.

Thanks

Get the battery load tested. Unloaded volts mean very little. Your issues sound like you have a bad battery or poor connection.

If you want to test the battery, jump the large terminals of the solenoid. If it cranks well, the battery, cables, connection and starter are good. If it doesn't crank, one of those is the issue.

Okay update. It now recognizes the keys. But the voltage is reading 10.3volts and I get a fault code C2161; which according to the spark forum is a low voltage indicator.

Guess it's time for a new battery?

I'd still get it load tested. This will tell you for sure if it is a battery or cable issue. It it does sound like it is the battery.
