How does a sea doo charge system work? Is it just supposed to provide current when running just to keep going? Or is it supposed to charge your battery as well like a car? I have VTS and is that powered by the running current from the motor or battery? Thank you for educating me.

There is a stator and rectifier. It will charge much like a vehicle does.

The VTS is powered from the battery due to the large electrical load that is needed.

Ok awesome, thank you. I am getting so many conflicting things on the stator regulator. The dealership is telling me that the Seadoo charge system is not supposed to really recharge the battery but only maintain a current so your battery gradually dies as your riding throughout the day. Is this true? My battery doesn't die but I get a low voltage warning after about 4 hours of off and on riding adjusting the vts. Is this normal?

Not normal.

They are wrong. It does absolutely charge the battery.

Sounds like to me you need a more competent dealer.

IF what they said is true then after using your ski for a few days on a trip or something you would have a dead battery. Deff not normal Best of luck!
