Picked up 2 - 2012 Seadoo Wake Pro 215

One has 37hrs other has 38hrs

Both skis ran when we looked at them; upon messing with the display (going through settings with engine off) one of the skis would no longer power up. We assumed battery voltage and proceeded with purchase.

Recharged battery when we got home (didn’t check voltage before hand) current voltage after charge is 12.74v.

Still have no power to the gauge cluster, no beeps, only a small relay clicking in the back. Swapped the relay with the ski that’s working and same issue was present.

Confirmed we have 12v to the cluster (at back of pins) and all fuses in fuse block are good.

Any suggestions on where to look as we have good voltage, the relay is good, and good fuses?

Thank you in advance,

Are you pressing the start button before you put the key on to wake up the electronics?

What relay are you referring to in the back? The 30A relay is on the small fuse panel in the front. Try switching those.

Thanks for the reply; purchased the wiring diagram for the units and was able to run down the problem.

The only 30amp relay found on both of these skis was in the back inside the fuse block which is mounted to the battery.

The issue ended up being the 12V accessory bus bar isn't passing power from pin D12 due to a failed Bus connector causing a voltage drop across the pins for all accessories. (12.74V on pin D12 and then drops down to 4v on all other pins) Swapped the 12V accessory bus bar from the working ski to the one with the issue and the problem went away.

Ordered two new bus bars (One for each unit) to be on the safe side.

The highlighted bus bar was the one with the issue.

Thank you very much for the reply!

It's probably not the bus bar since it's basically just solid metal, but the connector to the bus bar. You should pull all the terminals and inspect for corrosion. That fuse box (which I thought your skis were regular wakes instead of pros so would be in front) is known for corroding the terminals. They are easy to remove, inspect, and easy to replace.
