My seadoo is throwing a code C2 161. It’s says on the dash Limp Home Mode. I’ve done some research on it and it’s basically saying that there is low voltage detected. So I checked my battery to make sure it was still good and it was. At first whenever I would try to crank it, it would act like it was going to start but would never turn over. Well I kept trying and then it got to the point to where it would just be one click. Done some research on that and found out it was my starter solenoid relay. So I went and bought one and put it back on now I’m back to square one. I’ve check my fuses and everything. If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated

did you load test the battery? How low did the voltage drop when cranking? Have you checked the wires for corrosion? Loose ground connections? all these can cause a voltage error.

You should really not see anything below 11V for our type of machine/starter. Anything below 11v, the battery is suspect. (Some people use 10.5v but that is for mainly high draw diesel starter applications) Many times when the plates go bad in a battery you can end up with a surface charge, which will show 12.x on a charger but when loaded it will dip well below 12V. That would appear to be what you have IMHO.

You can try these steps.
