Hi everybody. I just bought a 2012 GTI 130 and took it out on the lake. It's pretty much a base model with nothing added. It pulled me, and my buddy on skis no problem. Although I noticed on the dash a "ski" and " cruise" option when it started up. But when I looked through my options, it wasn't there. I'm looking to make this GTI a little more tow friendly. So I'm wondering if there's anything I should buy or install to do so! Thanks in advance!!

The "SKI" and "WAKE" modes are strictly for the higher performance models. Specifically the WAKE edition as well. I have a 2013 GTI and see the same options. I don't know if this is anything that can be changed for your model.

I'd check with your local Seadoo dealer. I *think* you can have the cruise control module installed on there.

There is a ski module on the seadoo store page. I have it installed on my 2014 but just check the years in the description to make sure it will work with yours

Yeah, that's the one. You may also want to look into the x package module which I believe includes ski mode plus some other things. If you are interested in the other things, it may be better to just buy that instead of having to upgrade after you spent the $150 on the ski module only.

Scratch that. I don't think it includes the ski package now that I think about it. I'm pretty sure that's why I didn't end up buying the x package over the ski module

Thanks so much for all the help! I'll definitely look into and probably buy that Ski module and maybe even a ski pylon. Thank you!!

I'm just curious how one initiates Ski mode. I have a button on the handlebars for sport and eco mode.

Right, I understand that, but I assume you'd have to jump through menus since there is no button for it?

Yes there is a bit of menu scrolling with the ski module. The cruise control on the other hand has a dedicated button I believe.
