I have an '11 GTS 130 with the incorrect gauge cluster. I getting ready to order the correct gauge. I know it will need to be married to the ECU, with B.U.D.S or Candoo.
My question is, will a 2011 gauge already have the correct "calibration", if the part number is specific to my year and model? From what I am reading in this article, it looks to me like it does.

The article in the link needs another paragraph that deals with the 2011 and newer. They are similar to the 08 style but not exact. The introduction of the ibr and suspension added more complexity where everything needs to be flashed and married to each other for proper communication between them and operation.

For your GTS, which does not have ibr, it will be a little simpler but I would not expect a new gauge to come flashed from BRP. Basically, no new gauges come flashed anymore that I am aware of. BUDS contains all the software for every model and I would expect GTS to be the same. If you have BUDS, you will be fine.

What cluster do you have ?
I believe if it fits and powers up. All you need is buds with megatech to turn whatever features on and off to get it back to a normal gts cluster.
I mean I can use a gti cluster or a wake cluster and just turn the features on or off.
If it's just the security key that needs transferring so it doesn't continuously beep at you, that's just a normal buds thing.
