Hey All

New to the forum. I just bought this ski a week ago. First day in the water and got a low oil pressure and check engine light. Jet ski literally died in the water. Took it to the dealer and they told me that the rod is bent... Jet ski didn't even have an hour use on it. Is this normal, how much work is it to replace the rod? They are trying to say that they would have to order the part, then they admit that they have another one in stock and if I wanted to trade out then their would be a fee since I registered the jet ski on Thursday. I just got it this past Saturday, but had to wait for the title until Tuesday. Any advice? It was purchased in New York

I can only assume that the fee's they are talking about are the costs to make the registration corrections. If it were me, I would be willing to pay a reasonable fee to have a new ski then wait for a machine that had a bent rod right out of the box. The dealer is going to have to sell your old ski as used if you do this.

Did they say why it might have a bent connecting rod? Unless you injested water into the cylinder, I don't see how the rod could have gotten bent under normal riding conditions.

And there is a warranty on this thing right? It's only brand new!

ps. That bent rod did not cause the low oil pressure and check engine light to come on! There's something else up here!
