Finally got the ski on the water today. Dealer told me to use the green key(learning key) until the ski gets ten hours on it. I cannot get the ski to change modes is this due to the learnning key being used. Also the ski will not go over 30 mph is due to the ski being new and after the ten hour service will they do something to the computer?

I could be wrong but you should have 2 keys. The learning Key that won't let you do more then 30 like you said. The other Key will let you do balls to the wall, give it all that it will give and take you for a ride. Did you get a second key?

Lose that learners key in the lake....never listen to that dealer again....read your owner's manual. Run through the entire rpm range for short periods of time never settling on one for long.

Just put my new GTI130SE in the water this weekend and I was wondering the same thing about the modes. My dealer told me to go through two full tanks of gas with the learning key and then I could go to the regular key.

I did notice the difference of opinion in the owner's manual about the 10 hour of break-in. The owner's manual also says the engine computer will automatically limit performance during the first 10 hours to prevent damage during break-in.

During the break in period (first 10 hours) you should only be using the normal key. The dealer is wrong. The engines need to be run at low and then the highest Rpms for a few seconds every once and a while to properly break in. Don't listen to the dealer
