Well I was going for a ride today and I went to start my ski again, and it did not start.. The starter would spin but the engine was not turning over.. Has any one else had this problem? There are 40 hrs on the ski. Is it tuff to change the starter or starter drive?

OEM starters are NOT cheap.

But,,,,, aftermarket starters are generally poor quality.

His is one of the items you really want to go with an OEM starter.

In the future, find a used one and buy the rebuild kit. MUCH cheaper.

Thx guys, actually the starter is good. The starter drive unit at the fly wheel broke. It's a few hundred for the parts and gaskets. They said just under 1000 for the job because of labor and removal of stuff. I said to do the starter anyways while they were in there. I also asked about rebuilding the super charger since that needed to be removed, the dealer said it was not enough hrs. I've read here though, guys are recommending every 2 years also or 100 hrs? Dealer said they will not do it. ( supercharger)
