I have a 2009 RXT 215. Replaced impeller and liner last year after rock damage. Ran fine til late summer. Then starting cavitating badly on hole shot. Gradually catches and comes up to speed. Runs fine once up to speed. But each time from a stop does the same thing. Have checked for obstruction or any thing stuck in impeller. Nothing. Liner and impeller almost look new - well are new in reality! Have read that air can be sucked in past the shaft seal through the hull and cause this. Any thoughts?

There is a good chance you did have something in the impeller area and it fell out when you pulled the ski. Drop it back in the water and retest. If it is still bad, double check the shaft and both sides of the impeller.

If it is all good, then I'd look at the Carbon Seal (CS). If it is bad air will be sucked out from the hull and you will get cavitation.
