Has any one added on a water depth gauge to their 2009 RXP. I have called several dealers and get different answers.
Some say not available other say they can get one. Also how about aftermarket ones for that model?
I really need to put one on this unit.

thanks

Thru hull transducers are available.

Curious though.....why do you want one?

Place it in the glove box lid. C'mon.....you can't let trivialities get in the way of what you want. ;)

yes that is the only place i can see to mount it. i really had hoped the factory made a plug and play that could be put in as an option

You could put it in a pod...mount on top of the dash...along side the well...or in a mirror.

I seem to remember the early gtx limited having one...can't remember...not sure you wouldn't have to swap mpem/ecu's to make that happen. Seems to me an aftermarket set-up would be easier...if not a hundred percent stock looking.

Curious...how fast will you be running when you are gonna be needing this to check depths?

i would basically be using it all all speeds, from my understanding the river has shallow areas and this would be a great tool to determine what parts of the river are the deepest

i would not want to try this unless someone else has and can verify it worked in their RXP which is NOT listed in the ad

exactly why I recommended the aftermarket version.

You might consider a topographic map. Reason I don't have faith in depth finders on pwc's....unless you're using them at slow speeds to find underwater structure for fishing...eh...usually moving too fast to digest the info in a timely manner.

i haven't heard of the RXPs coming with a depth gauge from the dealer.. my 06 GTX has one from the factory..

i do have to warn you.. most of the time when your traveling at cruising speeds and you notice your getting into shallow water, it is most likely too late..

some more food for thought, the OEM finder is not the best in the world, i sometimes see 0ft when im fiding in areas that i know have a much greater depth.. if found it to work most consistently when at a stand still.
