One of my engines on my wake 230 will not start. Turns over but seems like it is too weak to start it. Could it be the battery or starter any ideas would help! Thanks in advance!

if its turning over slow it is most likely a weak battery. They only last a few years at most
I am not a mechanic at all. It is a twin engine jet boat and the one engine starts just fine and they go off a single battery for both engines. Do you think it could be possible that it is still a bad battery?

Oh, well that makes a difference. I would be checking the battery cables to the slow turner first, check connections look for green corrosion and measure resistance if you find nothing wrong at the connections. USUALLY when a starter goes it just doesn't spin over at all. I have never come across a bad battery that causes a slow crank personally though I know it can happen.

Thank you for your help I will definitely try that I am new to the Sea-Doo forum and accidentally posted it to the wrong place.

Greenhornet2 you seem to be a very knowledgeable guy. I have been reading some other posts where you have helped people out. I put a new battery in. The cables and everything look pretty good. I arked the solenoid and the motor still barely cranks. I took the spark plugs out and it seem like it cranked a little bit better. When I put them back in it just seems like it is too weak to crank the engine. On another post I read of yours it turned out to be the starter cable. Do you think from what I am talking about it would be a starter cable or a starter?

it could be either. If you have a multi meter you can OHM test the cables. Excessive resistance would cause the start to not get enough amperage. So what I would do is test the resistance of the good turning over engine cables to get a point of reference for about what they should be then test the slow cranker. Or IF they are easy to remove swap the starters on the motors, if the slow crank moves then the starter is the problem. I try to help as best I can, I am new to PWC's but have been a mechanic for years, the mechanical aspects are pretty much the same.
You also may want to see how it turns over by hand with the spark plugs out to make sure she isn't seizing up.
