2008 rxp-x 255

[Slab Squathrust]

Hi, I am new to the forum and and looking to buy a 2008 RXP-X 255. Every review I have seen has been positive, and I found one for sale with 44 hours for $4,700. I was just wondering if this is in line with what I should expect. Also when purchasing a used watercraft what should I look for as far as damage. I assume I should have them hook it up to a hose and start it just to make sure the engine turns over. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

take it for a ride
check the oil--clean good--dirty not so good
punch it from a dead stop---cavatation yes bad no good
look at the bottom--nice or not???
over all looks good or bad???
