I have a 2008 130 GTI took it out for the first time this season and once I opened the throttle almost immediately the engine started to shake and appear that it wanted to stall. I was not able to open it again and drove slowly back to the ramp. I Never encountered this before and I am the original owner. Any advice would be appreciated.

Plugs and gas would be where I'd look.
Thank you. The gas I have in there is from last season and I may drain it if I can and definitely will change the spark plugs tomorrow as well. The only thing when I changed the oil this year was that after running the ski I noticed that the oil line on the dip stick was higher than it should have been. I hope that this had nothing to do with it.

did you run ski for a tad, pull dip stick, clean, then check reading again? How high are we talking? Don't think that would be the issue if you put the needed amount required.

i would focus on gas and plugs first, how do they look? I mean if you fogged the cylinders for winterzation it could run rough the first little bit because it's trying to burn it all off.

Overfilling the oil is common when changing the oil. It will cause your symptoms and the ski should not be run until it’s rectified. It can cause engine damage.

If your oil quantity is correct before you change it and you keep track of how much oil you siphon out, you can refill the same amount and it will be real close to the original quantity.
