need help!!!!!!!!!! i bought my boat last month, it has been in the shop 80% of the time... i took it out and at the end of the day it went into limp mode... i took it to the shop and they said nothing was wrong with it, it was throwing out any codes. well i insited that they take it out themselves, sure enough it did the same thing. they checked it out and found that the oil had gas in it, one of the injectors were suck open. well after about 2 weeks they said they had fixed it, i told them to take it out for a test run. it got about 200 yards out and did the same thing.?... does anyone have any clue why it could be having problems? any input would be helpful because i don't think my local seadoo dealer has idea what is wrong with it... what should i do? thanks...:

That boat is still under warranty ...Go to another dealer that can diagnose the problem. The dealer should be able to put the seadoo on B.U.D.S.,( Bombardier Utility Diagnostic System) that can check out the components and sensors to figure out the problem.

they have done this already and it's not putting out any codes. any other suggestions? they have done everything they know to do and can't figure it out. anyone else have this problem?

This is a brand new boat! I would tell them you want another one that runs....
I have never heard of this problem... If the dealer isn't giving you good results than call seadoo direct to get results...I bet that will get it running again.

thanks for the previous reply.
well, the dealershipship called today and after changing the injectors and the plugs still having same problem. so they took it out on the lake for the third time but this time they figured they would bring the computer with them to see if it would pull up any problems. sure enough it didn't pull any codes. so they were on the phone with seadoo tech support and they told them that it sounds like the fuel pump? does this sound right? it's going on a month the boat has been in the shop with about 3-4 hours on it. they are saying the boat is hesitating the most when they make sharp turns. does anyone have any input? do you think it can be the fuel pump? i'm wondering why it wont pull up a code if it's the fuel pump? and also why has my boat been in the shop for a month for a fuel pump problem. ugghhh any help would be great thanks

I hate to say that even the best of us mechanics have to call the factory to find out what the issue may be. At least I had to 20+ years ago when I was a factory aurthorised mechanic for many leading engine manufactures. You need to tell them to test it out before they return it to you. I allso believe that they should be covered under warrenty for there time to test it if they include that custumer insisted that the boat be tested before it was picked up. At least for the secound time it was brought back and any time there after.

well, it wasn't the fuel pump that they thought it was. they changed out the pump took it for another test run and still doing the same thing. ugghh! i talked with the dealership and told them i either want another new boat or have them take that boat back. they are going to talk it over with the owner and see. what do you'll think the chances are with them getting another new boat since this brand new boat only has 3 hours on it and has been in the shop way over a month and they can't figure out what is wrong with it? thanks for the help

Lemon law..........

Every state has a lemon law. You paid a lot of money for this boat and from your description, have lost way to much money.

You said they were going to talk to the owner.....what is this, a second hand boat?

If this is from a dealership, you need to tell them, the boat is a lemon, keep all the documents on how much time it's spent in the shop. You paid for a new boat, you want a new boat. One that won't have you in the shop, till your 10 hour service is required. "Well, it's not the fuel pump" "well it's not the water in the injector"........none of that crap matters!.........this is new!....your not suppose to have to listen to that kinda crap from a $10,000 + boat!.........

If they insist you take that lemon boat back, I"d talk to the people who financed the boat (they have clout) and then, get a lawyer. A lawyer will only charge you $50 bucks or so for a consutation fee.

Don't be took on a lemon such as this one!............do something about it. Your not anyones rug!..................

the service guys are going to talk to the owner of the dealership. it is a brand new boat. we will just have to see what they say. i know i called a laywer and he said texas doesnt have lemon for boats. we do have something like it called breach of warranty? so i will see if they will take the boat back or give us a new one and if not we will have to hire the laywer i spoke with.

Stay on top of it!

Stay on top of this issue and act fast. Even if they find a part time fix, this issue with your "lemon" is likely to re-occur. I would demand another boat and expect some type of compensation for your loss of not having the boat available to ride or use it in the time frame you expected. The riding season is not far from being over!

Get the lawyer and start proceedings now. The more time you wait, the more time they have to tell you "it's all better now".......believe me, I'm still having problems with my Ford Taurus from warranty issues since 1997, but I waited to long to do something abou it, now I'm stuck.

I believe a judge, seeing how much you spent on this boat and the fact that they've had it in the shop and water and can't find the problem, will gladly side with you.................

It still irks me that they haven't seen this boat as a problem and taken care of you the way a good dealership should.......

well, i called the dealership today and they said they figured out whats wrong with the boat they said there is water vapor getting inside the engine compartment and causing water to get in the gas...so they got a part overnighted and going to but it on. so we will see how tis goes now...when they found out we wanted a new boat and threatened them they all of a sudden figured out whats wrong with the boat...ugghhh
