Hi,

Just purchased 2007 Seadoo wake 215 with 40 hours on it, trailer with storage box and original cover for the ski. It has transferable warranty until July 2014 and the washers are replaced. On the water test it was running perfect - 64 mph on GPS, great hole shot. The hull is in near perfect condition.

So I have to do something else beside winterizing ro the ski?

Anything specific for the model/year that has to be addressed?

I tead on the internet something about timing chain recall but not sure where and if this year and model is afected. Also do I have to take care for the vales or they put good valves in 2007?

Anything will help

Thank you

Yeah, if you're in the Vegas area, take that bad boy and put in at Willow Beach (about 15 miles south of the dam) and make the South run down to the mouth of Lake Mojave...serious eye candy there!

Congrats on yer new ride...sounds like a winner.

Yes, I live in Vegas. Will go to willow beach next season. For good or bad I will have no chance to ride it this year.

Also I will be happy to ride with you some day if you don't mind - I am new to this game if you don't count the 95 gtx I had this summer with a lot of problems and went only to Lake Mead to ride

I hope that I will be able to afford an RXP until the next season so I can have fridnds with me to ride but this is still away in the time

The previoys owner said that the iol was changed 10 hours ago but I want to change it to be sure. What is better - to change it now before winterization or to change it next spring? Same question about spark plugs

Thank you

Lots of good threads and posts happening now on winterization. Take some time and scroll back and take them in.
I'm clearly not a winterizing guru...until I found this site I was unaware of how far some go to prepare their rides for hibernation. Most of which I've never done...quilty as charged lol!
As for the oil and plug change, I'd do it now for a couple of reasons. First, you know exactly when it was done and who did it. Second, when the warm weather hits it goes from the parking place to the water in a matter of hours. That is not a time when I want to introduce a new learning curve :D I wanna ride!
If you have any DIY qualities, I strongly recomend doing this stuff yourself...its not hard and the non recurring expense is minor. This site is really big on hands on owner involvement. I have litterally saved over $1300 in labor costs since I signed up in July. However, if you dont have the time or the inclination and you haven't chosen a shop yet, I can steer you clear of certain 'stealerships'
