I recently purchased a 2007 GTX. The cluster did not work when I purchased. Only 82 hours on machine per the previous owner. The first time I took it out it ran fine until we cut off after riding on and off for a few hours, then just a clunk. We towed in and charged battery. Took back out yesterday and ran fine. With exception of the occasional short beep. Today, while hooking to truck to go get new cluster installed, I decided to check voltage at the battery per the manual at 5500RPMs. Machine just turned over but did not start. I had disconnected the cluster moments earlier. Only difference. Will this keep machine from starting? I connected it back and then I got the "clunk" again.

So we are newbies to jet skis. Learned alot last week after Hyrdrolocking! Thank goodness no damage. removed plugs, drained oil, filled with new oil, repeated 3x and all is well. Found out the clunk the first time was low battery we think. Second clunk was due to turning water on in driveway before starting. Replaced rectifier, charged battery and rode for couple hours yesterday without issue.
