Hey everyone I have an 07 RXP 155 & last season I noticed a very small amount of oil inside the hull when I cleaned it out after use. Each time it was just a trace amount, less than someone might spill when changing oil even. Any suggestions on where the oil may be coming from or something that normally wears that may need replaced? Thanks!

No, not normal. Check under the driveshaft, then check under the supercharger. Just feel around for the highest point where the oil slick is. If the engine has ever been rebuilt, someone could have not tightened one of the case plugs enough. They hide the main case bolts. I had that happen on one of my builds once :p Had to pull the engine to retighten.

Thanks for the info. I don’t have a SC on mine & don’t think the engine has been rebuilt. I will just have to look around some more. Might be tough since it is such a small amount even after ridding all day. Just wasn’t sure if there was a seal like at the driveshaft (which you suggested) that wears after time. Is the seal at the driveshaft hard to replace?

Must be a gasket or seal.(lord forbid a cracked case). Look carefully around crank output, then any gasketed areas.
Personally, if it wasn't a pretty simple fix I'd simply put an oil absorbent (They actually repel water) "Pig mat" style pad under the area that oil shows in and ride on until rebuild/retire time. A 12 year old machine, it's kinda hard investing professional repair for that minor an issue.

Dry paper towels under the engine and/or talcum powder or spray-on foot powder can sometimes help locate a wet spot from an oil leak. Clean well, let dry then apply as necessary.
