I just replaced all 3 motor mounts in my 2006 SeaDoo RXP SC. After replacing the mounts does the motor need to be align? The reason I ask is the SeaDoo dealer in Sanford, Florida told me that it does NOT need to be realign, there is on realignment tool for the newer SeaDoos. But after reading the service manual and surfing the web, I am under the impression that it DOES need to be realign. Anyone elaborate on this concern? I would appreciate any reply.

Thanks

This is a very good question as my 05 SC just was pulled an hour ago with a bent shaft and yes it has the upgraded washers..

Yes, it would be best to check the alignment. It's not that hard to do and may save you a gang of money in driveline repairs down the road.

Any suggestion on how to align the engine? I know there is an alignment tool but it seems rather exspensive.

Some outfits will sell you the tool and buy it back for half price. Check eBay, etc, many must be bought and only need once.

Just curious, but what exactly does the engine alignment have to do with it's supercharger and SC washers? There's no alignment adjustment with the engine's supercharger, and I do not see how the engine's alignment with the jet pump can possibly affect the supercharger.
