I bought a 2006 GTX 4-TEC a couple of years ago, and it starts and runs reliably. Our problem is that it is much more difficult to park than our 2000 GTI, so I think there must be something wrong. It goes too fast at idle, either in Forward or Reverse, and finding neutral is nearly impossible. This is in contrast to our 2000 GTI, which is obviously older, but much better when it comes to parking. It goes slow at idle, and neutral is easy to find so that you can easily "nudge" forward or backward by moving the gear level in and out of neutral.
Since I bought the GTX used, I have no idea if this is normal or if something is off. Any thoughts on things I can check? I just can't imagine that our newer ski is worse for parking by design. Thanks.
