I've been getting a "12V Low" message intermittently the last few time out. Still cranks easily, but I assume the battery is on its last leg. Been looking for batteries and what I've found is over the place.

Dealer wants over $200. Auto-zone has one for $138. Wall-mart says they sell one for $53, but their booklet doesn't list my model so I'm hesitant.

Anyone have any advice on what's a good economical choice? I don't want to pay top dollar for something I'm likely going to have to replace yearly anyway. We ride pretty much every weekend from mid spring to late fall, so sitting should not be a problem during the season.

No to the walmart battery- they are junk. I would go with a AGM type from autozone or similar store. Most should last you 3 seasons if you keep them charged during the winter.

Thanks guys. I was skeptical of the el-cheapos from Wal-Mart and Academy as well, but didn't know if the ones in the $100-$130 range would be fine, or if I needed to go with the pricey ones from the dealer.

Just a thought for ya TSmith the battery I have in my ski is one commonly found on Harley Davidson motor cycles, which are subject to high vibrations and such, I have been told they are very reliable in saying that I haven't had any problem with it. I think its a Delco brand battery but not sure. They are a bit costly but very good batteries.

I believe you need the ETX30LA - the "A" comes with a spacer for proper height.
The YUASA YB30CLB is 7.532 inches high
