Guys somebody its selling a Seadoo RXP pretty cheap....

The problem he says that the engine has water inside and he dosent know how long its been there!!!!

How hard to fix are this engines>>??? I Had only work on all two strokes..you name it...but i have never touched a 4 stroke before...Thanks

Water in an engine is not good.

Water in an engine that has sat there is bad !!!

The 4-tec engine is more complex than the 2-strokes for many reason. Valves, timing differences, chains or gears depending on the engine ect ect.

I have seen a few engines with water in them that have sat months as long as the plugs were left in the head come back to life.

In a nut shell. You have to assume the engine is destroyed. There is a chance it won't even be a usable core.

If it cranks over once you pull the plugs you "may" be ok. But until you try there really is no way to guess.

I would tell you to assume the engine is trash and pay a price for the ski that reflects a junk engine,,,

I assume there is water in the engine from sinking or rolling over. If this is the case I would also think that the various electrical boxes are likely corroded due to sitting and not drying out and being used.

Starters don't like to be submerged without being dried out either.
