Yup, pretty common too. Eventually it will get worse. If it fails when out you can short the 2 large posts and the starter will turn but eventually you'll be replacing it for sure.
Starters _can_ produce nearly identical symptoms but solenoid is most common, drastically cheaper and far easier to swap. If it does it reliably (that is not start) a meter across the 2 large posts will show 0 volts if the solenoid is good while trying to start (which means starter is at fault). It will show 12v across them while not trying to start. If it shows 12v across them _while_ trying to start then it isn't closing the contact to send power to starter.
