I have a 2005 GTX SC with about 115 hours. Supercharger was recently rebuilt with the steel washers. Two problems are present:

(1) when the ski is running the supercharger doesn't kick in. The engine RPMs only reach about 5,000. Sometimes the supercharger will kick on for a short while but it will drop back out again in no time. I took the supercharger out and checked it and it looks fine. It is still in tact and bearings appear to be fine.

(2) Now the ski is starting to click when I hit the start button. This is not the single click that happens when the solenoid is out (I already replaced that). This is a continuous, "click, click, click...." when I hold down the starter button.

I am not sure if these two problems are related or not. Does anyone know what's going on?

Who rebuilt the sc? Check the slip. Check the battery.

Does it sound like crap?...check the sc/tb hose.

Sounds like the solenoid is vibrating. Which, is more often a low voltage issue than anything else.

Get a meter on the battery. What is the voltage at the terminals? And again when you are "trying" to crank the engine.

Bet that is the issue and or a connection problem.
