2004 Speedster reverse cable problem

Hello Everyone,

I am new to the forum and also new to owning a boat. I apologize if this question was already answered. I did use the search, but was unable to find what I need.

I had to install a new reverse cable towards the end of last year. When I was attaching it to the control handle, I noticed the metal piece the connects the reverse cable to the control handle is cracked. I looked through the parts catalog, and this metal piece is not in it. The piece looks like a "U" and is about an inch long. The cable threads into the bottom of it, and the top has a pin that holds it to the control handle. If anyone knows where I can find one of these, please let me know. I tried my local dealer but so far, no luck.

Is it just a clevis? You can probably get one from an industrial supply, or you can have yours welded.

I found 2 listed on other Seadoo boats as part of the control handle:

CLEVIS L26 *CLEVIS L26
part # 204390226

CLEVIS L25 *CLEVIS L25
part # 204390225

There is no clevis listed on my boat. I called the dealer and they don't know which is the right part. Does anyone here know?
