Hi guys!
I am owner of a 2004 Sea Doo GTX supercharged since 2012 with 206 hours on it and only 4 hours on the rebuilt supercharger. However it seems to have a problem that I will describe:
In the early hours, the watercraft runs normally and shows no fault, however, after 25 km from piloting the problem appears:
The watercraft starts making noises (such as bursts) in revs from 3500 until 4500 RPM, but in revs above 5000 rpm the watercraft is normal. When I removed the seat, I could see the blows coming from the air intake pipe that feeds the supercharger.
Continuing to ride, the watercraft speed is limited in revs about 5000 RPM and the blows are constant in any rotation (exception in idle speed).
No problem is detected with VKC (Vehicle communication kit), no P-code is showed in watercraft displayed and the following parts were checked / changed:
Fuel pump – new
Spark plug – new
Cables spark – checked - ok
Ignition coil – new
Air temperature sensor – checked - ok
Supercharger – new
I'm having a good support from my mechanic, however, I wonder if anyone has had a similar problem. My last option is to check the knock sensor.
Regards,
Rafael
