For techs that been inside there chargers does this look normal

I bet you can wiggle it slightly side to side
Did one of those last year, bearing let go. What looks like a minor scuff there will look like total distruction when you open it up. Both cases 1/2's and impeller will be junk.

What gives it away is the little trailing burr on each vane

I have no movement in there . Reason iam asking is when trying to Stewart the ski it will try to fire but sounds like something trying to lock up i. It turns a little when trying to start .my guess bearings gone out cause of the wear marks on inside housing.

Not sure on your issue, but those marks on the SC housing look to be from impeller contact which is not normal. That usually take a bearing failure for that to happen & if there are marks there, you can bet there are much worse ones on the backside of the impeller. If you bought your ski used, its possible somebody rebuilt the Supercharger using damaged parts. Not a good idea at all, but that might be what your looking at if the impeller is not loose currently.

Thanks 68 ragtop I will began to remove the supercharger . What are the best to put back in with out failure for another 100 hrs

They're all the same, none use ceramic washers in the rebuild kits so do a full kit and you're good for 200hrs before next rebuild. I can pretty much guarantee you though yours is not rebuildable so you'll be looking for a complete reman unit.

Not supercharger related but wanted to ask also on my impeller shaft from under the ski behind the grate I can grab the drive line and movement is there and also grab it we’re the boot is inside engine compartment has lil movement alike slack there to is this normal

Shaft will have 1/2" or so end to end play but the bellows inside at the carbon ring keeps in one general location

The reason it wasn’t lose was part of the bearing sleeve was between the fins and the housing or something like that thxs 4 your help.
