Hi Everyone,
My son just purchased two 2004 rxp sea-doo, one has 25 hours and the other 29 hours.
I have done a lot of reading on here but I still have a few questions regarding the super charger.
I would like to put a set of Riva clutch washers in now and then rebuild it at 100 hours, no where in the manual or on line here does any one talk about reusing the needle bearings, I am wondering if you need the wax strip to hold them in place while installing the drive gear. I just don't see the point in buying a bunch of parts if not needed at 25 hours.
I am also wondering about the nut on the end of the shaft, should I replace it ?
what I was planning on doing was buying a couple sets of washers, the Riva holding tool, and the proper grease and changing them out, any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

While your sc's only have 25-29hrs on them...they are 9yrs old.

Your bearing cages are brittle with age...why do half a job to save a coupla bucks now when doing so has the potential in costing you thousands in repair?

IMHO....full rebuilds on both and sleep better.

Cutting corners to save a couple of $ will cost you way more down the road. Spend a little more for a full rebuild and don't risk finding out first hand what happens when a supercharger fails at 8000rpm. Been there done that. Never again.

the new parts in the rebuild kit are just better, rebuild completely is my advice as well.

My ski only had 8 hours on it when I picked it up and it's 6 years old... The cradle becomes brittle and the last think you need is to have a failure and drop the sc into your motor... Pay a little $$ now or pay a ton of $$$$$$$ later for a new motor

Thank you for the advice,
just wondering if there is any one in British Columbia that would do a complete rebuild on them.

There may be others too but that's the first one that came up on google search
