My username explains my journey starting.

I got a 2004 GTX 155 wake for $100! It came with a parts list from a mechanic of parts it needed.

I replaced all 3 motor mounts, battery and carbon ring with bellows.

Ski fired up so I got some fresh fuel in it and hooked it to the water hose.

It sputtered a bit but it ran!!! Got video even.

Turned it off walked around and tried to fire it up again, but this time, it turned over and clunk! From then on it wouldn't turn over..

My very uneducated guess is that it hydro-locked but my question is what or how would that be caused??

I was broken-hearted so I came in for the day but I'll pull the plugs next time I have the courage to work on it.

Just looking for some places to check that could cause such....

When you had it on the water hose, did you turn off the water before you turned off the ski? If you didn't that could have forced in more water and caused a hydro-lock.

That’s the wrong sequence, always start ski first then turn on the water. You have water in the intake, exhaust, and motor. Refer to water flooded engine in the appropriate service manual.

So.

I got it running again!

Changed to oil and put it in the water!

It ran sort of but all the oil came out the back of the engine!!

I think it has a fuel problem is why it wouldn’t spool up.

I’m thinking the oil leak is a seal or such going bad due to all 3 motor mounts being broken previously.
