2004 GTX Lake temp sensor

I'm getting code P1509 (lake temp sensor out of range) Does anyone know where can I locate this sensor?

Lake temp sensor

The Lake Temp Sensor is built into the speedo sensor (paddle wheel) at the rear of the ski.

So if the speedo works that would rule out that a wire has become unplugged?

Temp sensor

I would check the connections at the sensor and at the MPEM for corrosion.
Odds are that the sensor itself is good assuming you can't see any damage at the paddle wheel and housing. There's the possibility the MPEM does not recognize the sensor and it then would need to be "turned on" by a dealer.

I cant seem to find where the wires connect to the MPEM. Any help?

Mpem

The MPEM is located to the left of the battery ( if your sitting on the ski).
There will be 2 big harnesses that plug into it. Unplug both of them and look for corrosion. Disconnect the battery first to avoid shorting something out.
