Don't normally hang out here. I'm a 2 Stroke guy. However, my neighbor has this ski. Told him I would try to find out his issue. When ski is driven between idle and 3/4 throttle everything thing is good. As soon as you try to go wot the high temperature light comes on and shuts ski off. It can be fired right back up and run fine as I described earlier. Again until wot then it repeats problem. He also said propulsion feels almost like a slipping clutch. I though that might be the wear ring idk. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re cavitation...sounds like a wear ring/prop issue...also....clear the screens in the pump leading to the j-pipe. That is....with ski outa the water, remove the line just before the sensor and wb...blow into the line...hopefully removing any crap that may have clogged the screen...re-attach...go for a ride. You'll find out real quick if it solved the prob.

Good advice above..

The temp sensors themselves are a common failure as well. That said, you do want to ensure there is no blockage. Remove the hoses at the head connections and blow them out. Sand is a common issue. This is why the FLUSHING is important. While Flushing, the water runs backwards, thus the term flushing the engine. It is not designed to cool the engine per say, but clean it out.
